Moody Jr. High School students can do it all!  From coming in 3rd in state cheerleading championships to making solar ovens, from winning eight consecutive county basketball championships to winning the county scholars' bowl again, we have very accomplished  students.

We offer electives in chess, cooking, sewing, web page design, creative art, science lab extraordinaire, creative writing, computer scrapbooking, typing, and more.         

We have many sports, including: girls' volleyball, girls' and boys' basketball, swimming, golf, baseball,  softball, wrestling, track, cross country, archery, boys' and girls' soccer, and cheerleading.          

Of course, there's more to school than just having fun!  We have great teachers as well. There's Mr. Etheredge who teaches Social Studies.  He's always on the trip to New York City or Washington, D. C.  He wouldn't waste an opportunity to teach history along the way!

	Making a solar hot-dog cooker is a lot of fun, especially when it's time to eat the  hot dogs!
Our scholar team won the county championship again this year.  We're very proud of them!
	The new sport for MJHS this year is archery.  A team was chosen from all the students that took archery as an elective. That team is going to a tournament.
The boys' team won it's 8th consecutive county championship this year!  We have some GREAT basketball players here!

• There's always Valentine's Dances and a few other dances through the year.
• Students enjoy Field Day at the end of the year with outdoor games like the three-legged race, tug-of-war, and the fastest tricycle race ever!
• It would be truly great if learning to make video podcasts (vodcasts), newletters, power points, having debates, science labs, etc., were all there was to school.  However, there is testing.  We do Accelerated Reading tests, Think Link tests from Discovery.com, SAT tests, and many more.  In other word, we do everything!
